Chapter 37: Honeymoon
"God," I groaned as I made myself comfortable in the limos seat, grasping Alice's hand. "Well we did it."
"Yeah," Alice dreamily said, as she gave me a kiss.
"You ready for a week in Hawaii?" I asked. "Those beautiful beaches, and the sun. Though they won't compare to you in bating suit."
"Oh you stop it," Alice said blushing.
"I mean it," I said with the straightest face I could muster.
The limo went by the House, so we could get changed and grab our bags then it was off to the airport. The flight went to LA and then to Honolulu. It was a nice peaceful flight, Who knew that First Class would be so nice. When the flight landed it was about 9pm local time, There was a Limo waiting to take us to the Resort we were staying at.
"Aloha," The clerk at the desk said, as we walked over.
"We had a reservation under Porter," I said handing over the confirmation.
"Ah Mr. And Mrs. Porter," The clerk said. "It is always nice to have newly weds stay with us. Here are your keys." The clerk waved over one of the Bell boys who took our bags. "The Honeymooners Suite." He told the Bell boy, and we followed him to the room. I opened the door as we got to it. I walked in after Alice. The room was a cozy little suite. The bell boy put the bags down and I handed him a 10 dollar bill. The clock read 10PM and we both were dead tiered, so we changed into our pajamas and went to bed.
The next morning we awoke bright and early, and walked down to the beach, The white sand and crystal clear water the sun rising. We walked hand in hand along the surf the watter crashing lightly around our feet. The surfers were starting to fill on to the beach, trying to get a few waves in before the crowds come.
"This is beautiful," Slice said as we walked along.
"Not as beautiful as you though," I said leaning in to give her a kiss.
"Oh Rin," Alice said grasping onto me tighter.
We walked back to the hotel and to the restaurant to have breakfast. The restaurant was relatively empty besides a few other early birds, so we had a nice seat out on the veranda, the sun had just Risen and the Smell of the ocean and the light breeze that washed over us made the scene even more serene.
"What do you want to do today?" I asked Alice taking a sip of Orange juice.
"I'd just like to sit on the beach and relax," Alice said, taking a sip of coffee.
"That sounds nice," I agreed, as I leaned back in my chair as our food came.
We sat in silence as we ate. After the meal was finished we got up and walked back to the room. As we started to get changed into our bathing suits the light filtering through the window caught Alice's body in an Awe of light. I walked over and put my arms around her waist giving here a kiss on the neck. "I have a better idea." I walked over to the door and put the do not disturb sign up, and walked back over, to where she was standing.
I put my arms around her and began to kiss her, and slowly we inched over to where the bed was. I laid her down and slowly started to kiss every inch of her as I went lower and lower I spread her legs and stuck my head in between them. The musk of her vagina, filled my nostrils and her lightly moaning filled my ears as I started to maneuver my tongue in between the slits of her vagina. After a few minutes Alice's Moans grew louder and a gush of liquid hit me in the face, as I pulled away. I wiped my face off on the sheet, as I slowly climbed back up rubbing my hands all over her naked body as I went.
I laid on top of her, just looking into her eyes, I didn't move from that position for what seemed ages but then I slowly reached ah hand down and aligned myself and inserted into my cock into her pussy. Her face contorted with pleasure as I penetrated in deeper. I pulled back and pushed back in again I began a constant thrusting, motion, both of us moaning slightly from the pleasure. In and out in and out. Alice wriggled around underneath me as I trusted in and out, I grasped onto her breast massaging them, and then it happened, her vagina contracted around my cock and I lost it at that exact moment. I fell down on top of her and rolled over while still in her, and she began to bounce up and down on my still hard cock. We went on like this foranother 15 minutes, before, my little friend couldn't withstand it anymore and blew what little he had left inside him. My nut suck was shriveled up, from the loss of sperm.
"Okay," I huffed. "No more, Little Rin needs some rest."
"Okay honey," Alice cooed, as she pulled off of me, and laid here beside me, stroking my chest, lightly.
We laid there for an hour before either of us stirred. He beach just didn't have that appeal that it did, so we just went out into the town, looking in the little shops and buying little trinkets here and there.
"Alice I got something for you," I said putting a Puka shell necklace around her neck. "It looks good on you."
"You think?" Alice asked fingering the shells on the necklace.
"It's not a perfect as you," I said kissing her. "But it will do." I looked at my watch which said it was 11:47AM Local time. "Wanna get some lunch?" I asked as we walked out of the store were just in.
"I'm getting hungry myself," Alice complacently said. "Lets get something to eat."
We walked along the street, and finally decided to get a burger, at this little diner that we came across. As we walked in it was almost like we were back home at South City, The smell the sound and the interior seemed almost identical. We took a seat in one of the booths by a window and a waitress came over.
"What will you have?" She asked looking at us with a notepad and a pen handy.
"A Chocolate Milkshake and A Cheeseburger with fries," Alice answered answered.
"I'll have the same," I said as the waitress turned and looked at me. As she walked off, I turned to Alice. "It's almost like we were back home, isn't it?"
"Yeah," Alice agreed. "All that it's missing is Karl. Which reminds me, we need to go in there sometime we haven't been in ages."
"I bet Karl is wondering where two of his best customers has disappeared to," I joked. "When we get back to town we'll stop in and see him."
A moment latter our food came to our table. As we sat there and ate, we talked aimlessly about what we would do the remainder of the week. The food itself was just like back home, it was uncanny. The burgers Juicy, the fries crisp, and the milkshakes nice, thick, and cold. It was like we were sitting in The Diner in a parallel dimension where Karl wasn't the owner. After lunch we did a little more shopping before returning to the Hotel as the sun was starting to set.
"I Can't believe you bought that Tiki," Alice laughed as we walked into the hotel lobby.
"What?" I snapped. "I Bought the Tiki because it was neat. And besides did you really need those shoes?" I pointed at the bag that had a pair of sandals that were made of rubber but looked like they were leather. "Besides, The Tiki is just a decoration, it's something I got for my Office. It's not that strange. The Girl I dated before I got sent away, her dad was strange, he had a massive collection of little hand carved Buddhas. What am I talking about?" I Muttered. "Rambling on about things that I don't need to bring up. I'm with you and thats the way it is and always will be." I put my arm around her waist and pulled her close to me, and gave her a kiss. "And thats the truth."
The agenda for the night was a Luau, that the hotel was hosting. The smell of the roasting pig drifted up from the grounds and towards our room. As we were getting ready, for it. We walked down to the garden where the luau was being held there were tiki torches all over the place, and it seemed me and Alice were the only two there sensibly dressed. I was wearing a Pair of White Pants and a White Linen shirt, Alice was wearing a White Sun dress, and everyone were wearing the stereotypical Hawaiian Shirts. The feast wasn't half bad nor was the entertainment. It was well past midnight before we got back to the room. We both were so full and tired we just crashed down onto the bed, without changing out of our clothes.
The next morning the sun had already risen before we woke. The smell of the Salt water and the breeze filtered in through the the open balcony door. We went down to the restaurant to get some breakfast before we came back up and changed to go to the beach.
"Wow," I said my jaw dropping slightly as Alice changed into her bathing suit.
"You like?" She asked walking over to me.
She was so stunning in that bathing suit. My voice left me, it was as if I was looking at a goddess. I couldn't speak, the words escaped me, when I tried to say something. All I could do was nod.
"I'll take that as a yes," She said turning around, and walking over to the balcony. "It's a nice day out side, don't you think?"
My voice seemed to return to me as I walked out onto the Balcony beside her. "Yeah," I answered. "You ready to go down to the beach?"
"Just a second," Alice said as she wrapped a piece of shear cloth around her waist. "All right lets go."
"Alright," I said as I opened the door, and walked out the door behind Alice. We took the elevator down to the ground floor, and walked out side. The sun was shining, the wind was lightly blowing, and the beach was relatively empty.
"How about here?" Alice asked stopping in a relatively open place.
"Seems alright," I agreed. Spreading out my Beach towel. I stretched out on my Beach towel just relaxing It was nice to starch out under the sun, and get that tan I had a while back, back.
"Rin can you put some lotion on my back?" Alice asked as she rubbed her arms and legs with suntan lotion.
"Sure, just lay down," I said grabbing the bottle and putting some of the lotion into the palm of my hand. I slowly massaged the lotion onto her back. When I was finished I laid back down on my towel, stretching.
"This is nice," I said after a few minutes, the sun was starting to turn my pale skin a nice tan color. "Nothing beats sitting out in the sun getting a nice tan. Don't you think Alice?"
"Yeah," Alice Sighed in compliance. "It is nice."
We laid there for a few hours the sun was starting to set into the western sky before we left. My watch said it was 4pm. When we walked back into the Building the AC was a welcome change, it was a nice crisp cool. Finally back up at the room I walked out onto the balcony. There were still plenty of people out on the beach. The water had a golden glow. I walked back into the room and admired my tan in the mirror.
"Admiring yourself Super Stud?" Alice laughed. "Keep that up and I might just find someone who will admire me."
"You come here," I said grabbing hold of her. "Alice, you look beautiful." I gave her a kiss, and continued. "I may like looking at my Physique but nothing will ever keep me from admiring you. Besides, I look good with a Tan, but I look no where as good as you with one ."
I hugged my arms around her and stared into her eyes, as I swayed back and forth a bit, and I leaned in and gave her a tender kiss. She stuck her tongue in my mouth and I untied her top. We some how made it into the bathroom and into a shower. The water hitting our bodies made the moment all the better I had Alice pinned against the wall as I trusted in and out. Kissing her neck the while time. I gave a final trust as I came.
"That was nice," Alice huffed.
"Yeah it was," I said catching my breath as the watter beat down upon us still.
An hour latter we were out in the town, I had made reservations for dinner for us at a local Seafood restaurant. It had a nice view it was right on the beach and our table was right on the outside deck, right on the beach. The sun had set an hour ago, the lights strung around the place lit it up nicely, the calming sound of the ocean mixed with the sound of the music coming from inside. The smell of the fresh Seafood, and the salt in the wind mixing made this place seem like a little bit of heaven.
Our food came about 30 minutes after we ordered it. "Here you go sir," The waiter said putting a plate in front of me. "Grilled Mahi Mahi, with pineapples, and her you go ma'am. The Seafood Sampler. Can I get you anything else?"
"No thats all right," I said taking a sip from my beer.
"Very well, I'll check on you latter," The waiter said, turning and walking away.
"That looks good," I said looking at what Alice had ordered. Crab Legs, Shrimp, Calamari, Clam strips, the plate was full of delectable looking stuff.
"And yours does too," Alice replied.
"Yeah it is," I said taking a bite of the fish. "It's nice and flaky, and these pineapples are nice and sweet."
The rest of the week was full of sitting on the beach and Sex. Not much else happened and then it was time for us to go back home. A limo picked us up and took us to the airport. The flight back was kind of relaxing and calming, we had been gone a week and I was starting to miss our home. I was kind of worried as well, I left the store in the hands of Alex, the guy I hired to help me run it and not once did he call me during the week.
When the plain finally landed, We took a Cab back home, it was 9pm local time, and both of us were tired from our trip. The store was in one piece as far as I could tell. I would have to check in the morning. But now I was just glad to be back home.

Todays the day that I get married. There was no Bachelor party to the objection of some of my friends. I just didn't want to do something stupid that I would regret. But Bryce, Jason, and Paul all gave in when I kept refusing. Jason, was my best man and Bryce and Paul to me the grooms men.
"Looking sharp," My dad said as he slipped into the room I was getting dressed in. "I knew this day would come, but I didn't expect it so soon."
"It's not like I'm 18 dad," I said patting him on the shoulder. "I know what I'm getting into. I'm out of college, and my life is set on a good track, this is only the next step."
"Well you know we're proud of you," My dad said giving me a hug.
"I know," I choked out.
The ceremony started without much of a hitch, I was standing there, one thought running through my head. 'This is it.' In fact it was this moment that, I have been waiting for ever since Alice said she would marry me. Music started to play and Alice began to walk down the isle. The thought that was running through my head changed to one word. 'WOW' Alice was positively radiant in her white wedding dress. Time seemed to slow down as she walked closer. And then, the ceremony finally went under way.
"Dearly Beloved, we are gathered together here in the sign of God," The pastor began as everyone went quiet. "And in the face of this company. to join together this man and this woman in holy matrimony, which is commended to be honorable among all men; and therefore is not by any to be entered into unadvisedly or lightly, but reverently, discreetly, advisedly and solemnly. Into this holy estate these two persons present now come to be joined. If any person can show just cause why they may not be joined together, let them speak now or forever hold their peace."
The pastor paused, for a moment and no one spoke. "Marriage is the union of husband and wife in heart, body and mind. It is intended for their mutual joy and for the help and comfort given on another in prosperity and adversity. But more importantly it is a means through which a stable and loving environment may be attained.
Through marriage, Rin Porter and Alice Michaels make a commitment together to face their disappointments embrace their dreams realize their hopes and accept each other's failures. Rin Porter and Alice Michaels will promise one another to aspire to these ideals throughout their lives together through mutual understanding openness and sensitivity to each other.
We are here today before God because marriage is one of His most sacred wishes to witness the joining in marriage of Rin Porter and Alice Michaels. This occasion marks the celebration of love and commitment with which this man and this woman begin their life together. And now through me He joins you together in one of the holiest bonds.
Who gives this woman in marriage to this man?"
"Her Family, and friends who are gather here today," Joesph responded.
"This is a beginning and a continuation of their growth as individuals. With mutual care, respect, responsibility and knowledge comes the affirmation of each one's own life happiness, growth and freedom. With respect for individual boundaries comes the freedom to love unconditionally. Within the emotional safety of a loving relationship the knowledge self-offered one another becomes the fertile soil for continued growth. With care and responsibility towards self and one another comes the potential for full and happy lives.
By gathering together all the wishes of happiness and our fondest hopes for Rin Porter and Alice Michaels from all present here, we assure them that our hearts are in tune with theirs. These moments are so meaningful to all of us, for "what greater thing is there for two human souls than to feel that they are joined together to strengthen each other in all labor to minister to each other in all sorrow to share with each other in all gladness.
This relationship stands for love, loyalty, honesty and trust, but most of all for friendship. Before they knew love, they were friends, and it was from this seed of friendship that is their destiny. Do not think that you can direct the course of love for love, if it finds you worthy, shall direct you.
Marriage is an act of faith and a personal commitment as well as a moral and physical union between two people. Marriage has been described as the best and most important relationship that can exist between them. It is the construction of their love and trust into a single growing energy of spiritual life. It is amoral commitment that requires and deserves daily attention. Marriage should be a life long consecration of the ideal of loving kindness backed with the will to make it last."
"Do you Rin take Alice to be your wife to live together after God's ordinance in the holy estate of matrimony?" The pastor asked me. "Will you love her, comfort her, honor and keep her, in sickness and in health, for richer, for poorer, for better, for worse, in sadness and in joy, to cherish and continually bestow upon her your heart's deepest devotion, forsaking all others, keep yourself only unto her as long as you both shall live?"
"I will," I calmly said, not letting how I really felt get in the way.
"Do you Alice take Rin to be your husband to live together after God's ordinance in the holy estate of matrimony?" The pastor asked Alice. "Will you love him, comfort him, honor and keep him, in sickness and in health, for richer, for poorer, for better, for worse, in sadness and in joy, to cherish and continually bestow upon him your heart's deepest devotion, forsaking all others, keep yourself only unto him as long as you both shall live?"
"I will," Alice said a tear falling from her eye.
"What token of your love do you offer? Would you place the ring's in my hand?" The pastor asked. "May this/these ring's be blessed as the symbol of this affectionate unity. These two lives are now joined in one unbroken circle. Wherever they go may they always return to one another. May these two find in each other the love for which all men and women year. May they grow in understanding and in compassion. May the home which they establish together be such a place that many will find there a friend. May these ring's on their finger's symbolize the touch of the spirit of love in their hearts."
The pastor handed one of the rings back over to me, "Rin, in placing this ring on Alice's finger, repeat after me:" The Pastor commanded. "You are now consecrated to me as my wife from this day forward and I give you this ring as the pledge of my love and as the symbol of our unity and with this ring, I thee wed."
"You are now consecrated to me as my wife from this day forward and I give you this ring as the pledge of my love and as the symbol of our unity and with this ring, I thee wed." I repeated, placing he ring onto Alice's left ring finger.
The pastor handed the other ring to Alice. "Alice, in placing this ring on Rin's finger, repeat after me:" The pastor repeated. "You are now consecrated to me as my husband from this day forward and I give you this ring as the pledge of my love and as the symbol of our unity and with this ring, I thee wed."
"You are now consecrated to me as my husband from this day forward and I give you this ring as the pledge of my love and as the symbol of our unity and with this ring, I thee wed." Alice repeated, placing the ring on my finger.
"May you always share with each other the gifts of love be one in heart and in mind may you always create a home together that puts in your hearts love generosity and kindness." The pastor said, as I held onto Alice's hand. "In as much as Rin and Alice have consented together in marriage before this company of friends and family and have pledged their faith and declared their unity by giving and receiving a ring are now joined. You have pronounced yourselves husband and wife but remember to always be each other's best friend. What therefore God has joined together let no man put asunder. And so, by the power vested in me by the State of Pennsylvania and Almighty God, I now pronounce you man and wife and may your days be good and long upon the earth. You may now Kiss the bride."
I wrapped my arms around Alice and leaned my head down and shared one of the most passionate kisses that we have ever shared. We were married, now and nothing will change that. "For ever and ever babe," I said as I looked into her eyes, after we stopped kissing.
"For ever and ever," Alice repeated as I took her hand and we walked back down the isle, taking our first steps as Husband and Wife. Out of the chapel and into the street. The reception was being held at the Chapel's annex. The sun was shining, and its was a nice spring day.
Everyone filled into the and found there seat. There was a little aimless chatter as the food was being set out, but then down to it, the meal was a fine one. After everyone finished eating, Jason stood up with his wine glass and clanked his for on to it as everyone fell silent he began to speak.
"Today," Jason began. "Two of my closest friends begin there life together. I've know Alice for about 7 years now and Rin for 5. All I have to say is if there is a even more perfect match for either of them, I would like to meet them. May the road that they take, be full of joy. To the happy couple."
After the toast was said, Me and Alice stood up and walked over to the cake, I held her hand in mine as we sliced into it, and then fed each other a piece of the cake, Though I think Alice may have wanted to play around a little because she seemed to purposely miss my mouth and shove it into my nose at first. After all was said and done, The Bouquet was tossed, and the guarder launched, we walked out to the limo parked out front tat would whisk us away on our honey moon.

The first stop was the bank, then the horrid place of torture, the Mall. That was the plan for today. No surprise the bank was almost deserted.
"Here's your Christmas Present a little early," Joesph said handing over an envelope with a Cashers check for 10,000 dollars in side of it.
"You know you guys are great," I said, as I gave him a hug. "Now we better get to the mall."
As was expected the mall was packed. Cheep skates trying to find stuff ant 75% off. I dropped everyone out front and went to find a parking place that happened to be half a mile away.
"Meet in the food court in two hours?" Alice said, as I walked over to where they were sitting.
"Sure," I said. "You three go shopping and I'll go my own way." They didn't need to be told why, I was going to go find the perfect gift for Alice once again.
"Okay hun," Alice said as she gave me a kiss. "I have my cell, and I'll call you if anything comes up."
"Okay," I said. "Two hours." I walked off down the mall in the opposite direction I was headed to throw them off my tracks. I was actually heading to that same store I bought Alice's gift last year. But this time it is for something even more special. The jewelry store was packed, which made it so I was just another face in the crowd. If Alice was to walk by I doubt she would see me in here. "God, this is going to be harder than I thought." I muttered as I looked through the display case at all the rings.
"May I help you sir?" A womans voice said as I looked up. It was the same woman that helped me out last year.
"Actually yeah,"I said. "I'm going to propose to my Girlfriend." I felt my self blush slightly, as I said that.
"What are you looking to spend?" The woman asked.
"Do you have credit?" I asked, because I knew all I have in my pocket was about 1,500 bucks.
"We offer a Line of credit, yes." The woman said.
"Then I am looking to spend no more than 2 grand," I answered.
"Then a 1 karat would fit in your price range," She said as she pulled out a browser and put it on top of the counter.
"This would look perfect on Alice," I muttered holding one of the rings, that had a Princess Cut Diamond, in it.
"You have an Eye for good taste," The Jeweler said. "That is a half karat Princess Cut ofset with two quarter karat Asscher cut diamonds."
"How much?" I asked. Handing the ring back.
"1,699.97," The Jeweler said.
"I'll take it," I said. "This is the second time you've help me find the perfect gift."
"Wait I remember you now," The Jeweler said. "Your the guy who came in here last year completely lost not knowing what to get."
"Yes," I answered. "And I'm back, for that next perfect gift."
"I'm sure she'll like it," The Jeweler said as she rang up the purchase.
"I was going to pay a thousand now and put the rest on a credit line," I said handing over ten one hundred dollar bills.
"Okay one thousand dollars cash, and a credit line of eight hundred and twenty dollars to the name of A Mr. Rin Porter." The jeweler said, sliding a piece of paper over to me. "Sign this please."
I signed the paper, I had a year to pay back the 820 bucks I owed. I walked out of the store, I had an hour and a half before I had to meet the others and this little package was a sore thumb in my hand. I walked down the mall to the Game Stop. As I walked in the store was packed with parents looking for gifts for there kids. I just needed to get a few things for Jason and Paul and that was that.
I walked out 20 minutes latter with a new Wireless head set for Jason, and still had to find something for Paul. For that I headed to the Local William Sonoma and bought a new Italian cook book. "I have 15 minutes I might as well head on down to the food court and wait for them." I muttered as I checked my watch, Alice's Gift was hidden in the Game stop bag, which I put in the bag from William Sonoma.
"Been Waiting long?" Alice asked as they walked up to where I was standing.
"Not long," I answered. "I just got here a second ago. Hungry?"
Finding something to eat was not as hard as finding a table, it seemed that everyone and there grandma was at the mall today and eating in the food court. After a few minutes of searching for a table we found one just as the last occupants got up.
"Anyone up to some more shopping?" Alice asked, we finished eating.
"Sure," I replied. "Why don't you and Linda go do some shopping, while me and Joesph go our own way?" This would be a good a time as any to get some time alone to speak to Joesph about this, and Alice can't be anywhere near at the time.
"Sounds like a Plan," Alice said. "Meet back at the Front Entrance in two hours?"
"Front entrance in two hours," I agreed. "Well see you there." We walked off in our separate ways, and when I was sure they were no where near us I finally spoke. "Joesph, I have a question to ask you."
"I already know what you are going to ask," Joesph sad cutting me off. "And you have my blessing. Just promise to take good care of Alice."
"Yes sir," I said, about to cry. "I will." I am so happy, I have his blessing. This year is going to end on a good note, for me, I graduate from college, I will own my own business, and I'm going to ask the love of my life to marry me. My life could not be any better.
"Have fun?" I asked, as we walked over to where Alice and Linda were sitting. "You know don;t answer that, I already know the answer. Considering the number of shopping bags you have has more than doubled. Come on lets get out of here before we need a U-Haul to get the stuff home."
Chapter 32: Open For Business
It's been two weeks, and I am now a College Graduate and the owner of South City Books. It's been a hassle for a week, getting everything changed over. Vendor Accounts, and business Licenses. Titles, and Deeds. The list goes on, and on. But now that everything has been transfered over, one more challenge has arose. The Questions from customers. "Where's Maddy?", "Do you have this book?" Its a pain really, I'm still getting used to everything in the store, and having to answer the same questions each day are a pain. But then, having an Associates of Science in Business Management has helped some.
"Hey Rin," Alice said as she walked into the store carrying what looked like some lunch. "Hungry?"
"Starved," I answered. I hadn't had breakfast this morning because I needed to get here to get the latest shipment out on the shelves.
"So how does it feel to be the owner of your own business?" Alice asked me giving me a kiss as she walked behind the counter and sat in one of the chairs, handing me the bag as I sat in the other. "Is it what you thought it would be?"
"I was expecting that it would take some work at the beginning," I sighed as I Unwrapped the burger. "I'll be home late, tonight, I need to get the Loft cleaned out a bit." I haven't been up there since I took over the place. All that was up there was an office space, and a cot. But I was trying to get it cleaned out because, I was in the process of moving the Office down stairs into the back room.
"Well if you want some help I'll stay," Alice said taking a bite form a burger. "I don't have anything else to do today."
"Thanks babe," I said taking a sip from my soda. It was nice to sit and get something to eat, It had been a busy morning when the doors opened, up till now. The store was dead. Besides the stray customer here and there, there wasn't that much business for the last hour or so. "If you want to stay and help be my guest." I took another bite of burger, as I sat there, and the front bell chimed. "Hello, how are you doing today?" I asked standing up. "Anything I can help you find today?"
"The House of the Seven Gables," The man said, as I walked over.
"Hardcover or paper back?" I asked, The House of the Seven Gables was one of my favorite books and I made sure there were a few copies in stock.
"Hardcover please," the man said as I lead him towards the back of the store.
"Will that be all?" I asked as I handed him a hardcover copy of Nathanial Hawthorn's House of the Seven Gables.
"No," the man seemed to sigh. "This is all I need."
"So are you buying it as a gift?" I asked as I wrung up the purchase.
"Yeah," the man sighed. "The last thing on my list."
The next few hours were a blur, Alice stayed at the store and kept me company and at 7 closed down. Then it was up to the Loft, to get it cleaned out. I had only been up there once or twice, but the boxes up here were a mess of who knows what.
"More books," I mumbled as I opened one of the boxes. Sorting through it. "Old ones at that. A nice treasure trove, no way am I throwing this in the trash." I looked through the books, most of which seemed to be old and worn.
"You might be able to open up a second hand book section with all of these," Alice said as she sifted through another box. "A lot of classics."
"Yeah," I sighed as I opened another box. "Thats a good ide--" I stopped talking for a second just staring what is in my hand.
"Whats the matter?" Alice asked walking over.
"T-this," I stuttered handing over the book. "First Edition copy of the Hobbit, and its Signed as well. That is an incredible find. Never would I have thought I would see something like this hidden away inside of a box collecting dust." I was exasperated, never in my life had I ever dreamed of holding something like this in my hand, to me it was just like holding a lottery ticket that just won two hundred fifty million dollars. "This is a Rare find, and a nice addition to any collection. It seems that someone is smiling down upon me from up above."
"Yes is does seem like that," Alice said handing the book back. "It is a nice find for a companion to that copy of Dracula you have in that display case you have."
About an hour or so latter the boxes had all been opened, and sorted into neat piles, the desk would wait for another day, today was the 23rd and tomorrow was Christmas Eve, and We were heading to my parents house for a few days, tomorrow. I slapped a sign on the door that read 'Closed for Holidays Will open back up on the 28th.'
"Come on," I said as Alice clung to me. "Lets get home."
Chapter 33: Will you?
Over the night the snow poured down, and by morning, it was a nice thick coating of snow on the ground.
"Wow," I said looking out the window, with a cup of coffee in hand. "The snow really poured down last night."
"Yeah it did," Alice said walking up beside me. "You bout ready?"
"As ready as I'll ever be," I said as I finished off the rest of my coffee. "Lets get this show on the road."
We trudged through the snow out to the car with stuff in hand. My special little gift packed snugly in my bag, and the decoy gift packed in a box. Everything was packed into the car. It was slow going for the first 45 minutes, the plows hadn't been out yet but once we hit the interstate it was smooth sailing.
Around noon we made it to my parents house. And then it happened. June threw a snowball at me, but it landed low, right into my crotch and it wasn't one of those soft packed ones, it was one of those hard packed starting to freeze into a ball of ice ones.
A shrill cry escaped from me as I fell to the ground, grasping my crotch. "JUNE!" I finally managed you yell as I staggered to my feet. "WHAT THE HELL!"
"Sorry," June said walking over. "I was aiming a little higher than that."
"It's alright I said as I bent over grabbing a handful of snow smashing it into her face. "There now were even. Come on you can help us carry the stuff in." I walked around to the back of the car and opened the trunk, I handed the box with the gifts to June and grabbed our bags. "Hey everyone where here!" I shouted as I kicked off my boots.
"Well looked what the Cat dragged in," My dad said as he walked into the forayer. "Hows Owning your own business?"
"It has its perks," I said as I fished out the Copy of the Hobbit I found. "Like this little piece of treasure I found in a box up in the loft thats in the building. J.R.R Tolkien's The Hobbit, first edition, autographed."
"That is quite a find," My dad said inspecting the book before handing it back. "A nice companion to Dracula."
"Thats where I was going to put it," I mused. "How are you?"
"Fine," He said as Alice and June walked in behind me. "Why if it isn't the lovely Alice."
"Stop it," Alice said with a giggle. "It's nice to see you too."
"Why don't you too go get settled in?" My dad suggested. "I'll tell your mom that you two are here."
"Kay we will," I said grabbing the bags as I headed up the stairs with Alice in pursuit.
"You okay?" Alice asked when we reached the top of the stairs. "That was a nasty blow."
"I'm a little sore," I answered. "But thats about it. I don't think it's hindered me from fathering any children." I turned and looked at Alice who seemed to blush a bit when I said that. "What? I thought you wanted to have kids."
"It's not that," She muttered. "It' just that you are so open about something like that."
"Alice," I said as I put my arms around her. "I love you, and if I were to lie about something like that, from you, I would be lying to my self." I stared into her eyes and then slowly moved forward to give her a kiss. "Alice, I promise this to you. One day, we will have a family of our own."
I walked into my old bedroom and put our stuff down and unpacked a little changing into something else for tonight. Alice was in there as well changing. After we changed we walked back down stairs.
"Hey you two," My mom said as we walked into the Den. "It's nice to see you."
"It's nice to see you too," I said giving her a hug.
"National Lampoons Christmas Vacation anyone?" June asked, as we sat on the couch.
"Sure," Alice said, snuggling in beside me.
A fire roaring in the grate, a somewhat funny movie, and the love of my life sitting next to me on Christmas Eve. God how I wish that this moment could last forever. The movie was playing but I was just staring at the TV, I wasn't watching it. I was lost in my own thought. How am I going to do this? How am I going to be A Knight in Shining Armor?
It was around 6 when everyone stared to show up, and then the party started about 7. then around 9 the gift exchange started. As my plan was, it worked, Alice thought it was just the Cardigan Sweater that I got her was her gift, but then, what was still to come she had no idea.
It's now or never, I told myself standing up. "Alice, The time I have spent with you has been some of the greatest parts of my life." I bent down on one knee, and held up the little box. "Will you marry me?"
Everyone fell silent when I said that, time it self seemed to stop. When Alice finally spoke tears flowing out of her eyes. "Rin," She said flinging her arms around me. "Of course I will. Forever and ever, I will be yours."
Everyone just walked over and congratulated us. Though I didn't hear a word of it, I was in my own little world. Alice and I are to be married, our love bound till death do us part. Finally around 11 we all went to bed. Alice, my fiancée, my love, beside me. Oh how I wish this night would last forever.
The next day we spent the day alone, no one bothered us, we just enjoyed each others company. The sheer bliss of what happened last night still seemed to hang around, us, the after shock just setting in.
"What now?" I asked staring off into space. "What happens now?"
"We plan the wedding," Alice said as she grasped my hand. "Our Wedding."
Chapter 34: 21
Today is my 21st birthday, The day that I can walk into a liquor store and buy booze. It's not as special as you would think. But still it is kind of nice, having some freedom like this.
"Dude your not going to do it," Jason said as we walked into the Tattoo Parlor, down town. "Your too Chicken Shit to do it."
"Watch me," I said, walking up to the counter.
"Can I help you?" A large man covered in Tattoos, and a shaved head asked.
"Yeah," I responded. "I want this, Tattooed onto my back." I handed over a picture with a Chinese Dragon Wrapped around the symbol for Love on it. "How much?"
"A work like that?" The man asked. "About 250 bucks should do it."
"Here," I said slamming down 5 fifty dollar bills. "I have all day, so take as long as you need."
I sat there for about 30 minutes as the Tattoo Artist prepped everything, and then it was time.
"Man you have some balls," Jason said as he watched me. "I barely got what I have done, but you man what I have is nothing compared to this."
"Thats because you don;t have my threshold for pain," I laughed as the Guy put an Antiseptic onto my back.
"Yeah, and I don't have some old Asian guy stick needles in me," Jason retorted.
"You should try it some time," I grunted as the Artist started to ink the tattoo into my skin. "It's great for stress relief."
"I'll take your word for it," Jason said watching the guy permanently embed ink into my back. "Whats Alice think you you doing this?"
"Well when I showed her, what I was having done, she was totally cool with it," I said.
It took about 3 hours but then it was finally done, the skin around it was slightly red, which I was told was normal due to irritation and slight bleeding. But the sight of that dragon sprawling across my back, was really worth it. All I know is, Alice didn't mind but then if my parents ever saw this they would shit a brick. My back was bandaged over and my shirt back on and out the door.
Just a few more stops, and then my day would be finished up until tonight. I hired someone to help me run the store, so I wouldn't have to be there every day and so late, which gives me more time to be with Alice. So just a few more stops and then tonight, would be ready.
The first was at the Liquor store for a bottle of Red wine, Alice told me what to get, and I trust her judgment. But then a little something extra for myself. A bottle of Stolichnaya Vodka. The stuff I got drunk on the very first time I got drunk.
"ID please," The clerk behind the counter asked.
"Here you go," I said handing over my ID.
The clerk looked my ID over and then handed back. "Happy Birthday, and something tells me this wine was something someone told you to get. It's a nice selection and normally young guys like yourself don't go for the expensive stuff. No offense of course."
"None taken," I replied. "My Fiancée was the one who told me to get it, the vodka is just something I'm getting for myself."
"Well the total is $63.09," The clerk said ringing up the two bottles of wine and the vodka.
I handed over three twenties and a five. I took my change and the purchase and went back out to my car, where Jason was sitting. "Paul's working, and your taking April out tonight right?" I asked as I hopped into the driver seat.
"Yeah why?" Jason asked. "You know take that back I already know. Just promise, if you decide to do something, make sure you do it in your room."
"Will do," I laughed. "Will do. Just don't come in too early."
"You can count on that," Jason said. "I'll be out all night."
"She's a good girl," I said patting him on the back. "Make sure you use some protection."
I drove back home, it was Friday and its about 2PM Alice would be here in two hours Paul was just leaving for work, and Jason was leaving at 3. I sat down on the couch, and turned on the TV as I slowly leaned back.
Around 4 Alice walked in and leaded over the back of the couch and gave me a kiss. "Happy Birthday Lover boy, Did you get the Wine I said to get for tonight?"
"Two bottles of it," I answered. "There in the kitchen and theres a bottle of Vodka in the freezer."
"If I didn't know any better I would think you were planing on getting me drunk," Alice laughed.
"Why would I need to do that?" I devilishly asked. "Last time I checked, getting you drunk isn't really something I would need to do to have sex."
"True," Alice confirmed. "Did you get that tattoo?"
"Yeah, I have to keep it bandaged till tomorrow," I sighed. "So I'll let you see it then."
Alice walked into the bedroom to go change, I just sat on the couch, relaxing, my whole day was planed to be like this, do nothing all day. A few minutes latter Alice walked back out of the bedroom. "I'm going to fix dinner for us tonight you just sit there and relax."
"Will do," I yawned. "Just yell when its done."
There was the sound of pots and pans clanging around in the kitchen, and then a heavenly smell started to waft through the house. And about 15 minutes latter Alice walked back into the room carrying one of the bottles of wine and two glasses and then she returned to the kitchen bringing back two plates. "I hope you like it." Alice said handing me one of the plates, pouring a glass of wine.
For an hour or So we ate and drank and watched one of our favorite movies, after dinner was done, I grabbed the vodka out of the freezer and poured two shot glasses full, and came back into the Den. "Cheers," I said raising my shot glass into the air and downing it. The Vodka burned a little as it went down, but then a warmth started to spread through me a moments latter.
"You ready for the second part of your present?" Alice asked as she stood up leading me into the bedroom. "Sit right there." Alice walked into the bathroom and came out a few minutes latter. She was wearing nothing but a ribbon was wrapped around her with a Bow. "Happy Birthday, Now open your present."
She walked over and sat on my lap as I kissed her neck as I slowly undid the ribbon that was wrapped around her. My hands moved slowly down, wards as the ribbon dropped away. Lower and lower, my hands moved, till they came upon there destination. Alice let out a slight moan as I started to penetrate her slit with one of my fingers, as I laid her down onto the bed. I stood up and removed my clothes and then slowly crawled on top of her.
"Alice," I said as I looked into her eyes. "Thank you." I slowly penetrated into her, faster, deeper, harder, faster, deeper, harder, the cycle went on, the headboard banged against the wall. After about ten minutes or so I lost my control and blew my load. I collapsed on top of her, and just laid there my naked body pressed against her. The clock on the night stand said it was 9 PM Before either of us moved. I rolled over and just sat there looking into her eyes. Neither of us needed to speak, we knew what the other was thinking.
Chapter 35: Moving
Since Paul has graduated college and has moved back home, all that is left is me, Alice and Jason. We decided to just let the lease end and go our separate ways. Jason is moving in with April and Me and Alice are moving into the loft above the store.
"Well Jason this is it," I said giving him a hug. It's been a nice 5 years that we've know each other. Just don't stay away, come by and see me in the store some time."
"Will do mate," Jason said as I closed the door behind us. "You have my number if anything happens."
"And you have mine," I said in contempt. I turned to where Able was standing. "And these I think belong to you, It's been a great 3 years."
"Take care of yourselves," Able said as I handed him the keys to the house back.
"We will," I said shaking his hand before hopping into the truck that had our stuff in it. "I hope the next Tenets have a great time like us. With all the happy memories we have there."
I pulled away slowly and moved towards the store. It took us a few hours to get the furniture all in, there. I sat down on The couch, all there was was running Watter Gas and Electricity. "The cable guy and the guy from the phone company are coming tomorrow, so we really don't have much we can do. But I don't feel like going out," Alice sighed as she sat down next to me.
"How about this," I suggested. "I go out get a few movies, a Pizza and some beer? Well have ourselves a nice little house warming party."
"That sounds fine to me," Alice said laying her head on my shoulder. I sat there for a few minutes just stroking Alice's long hair. She's let it grow since we first started dating, It now reached her lower back. "I'll be back in an hour or so," I said as I stood up giving her a kiss.
I walked down stairs and turned the corner towards the Video rental store. I rented some good old classics And I have no idea why I don't buy them, but I paid for the movies and walked to the liquor store, There I bought a Case of beer, and then to the Pizza Place where I got the pizzas and back home.
"Finally," Alice, sighed. "What did you get?"
"Casablanca, The Mask of the Red Death, and Vertigo," I said handing the movies over. "Then I got a case of Stroh's and a Hawaiian pizza."
"Seems like its going to be a fun night," Alice laughed.
"Well it should be considering the beers cold," I said popping a can of beer open and taking a swig. I stood up to put the DVD in the player and sat back down grabbing a piece of pizza as the movie started.
We sat there eating and drinking snuggled together watching these classic, movies. After about an hour the pizza was gone and the beer almost gone. It was about midnight before we went to bed, The beer all gone, and the movies watched. Our first night in our new home, All I would have to do was walk down stairs to open the store in the mornings. I just hope I don't have a hangover tomorrow.

"God," I said rubbing my eyes. "Damn thing's Finally finished." I had been sitting at my laptop, working on a spreadsheet, for some made up company that cataloged all Employees, Employee Pay Wages, Products, and Customers. I had spent the past 6 hours typing away, at this. Now it was printing out. 20 pages in all.
After that was done I had the 50 page term paper to finish for History. Which I had been crunching away at the whole semester.
"Hows it going?" Alice said walking over handing me a Cup of coffee, and started to rub my back.
"Long," I sighed. "I just finished the Spreadsheet for my accounting class, and I have another 5 pages to finish on my History Term Paper. But thank god the semester is almost over."
"Yeah," She said kissing my neck. "I miss being my little Rin."
"I Miss being with you too Alice," I said craning my neck back. To kiss her. "But I promise you, well go some where once were both through with this. Just the two of us."
"You mean it?" She asked, looking at me with those eyes of hers.
"As sure as the sun rises in the east and sets in the west," I said, standing up turning around and grabbing, Alice. "Now come here." I pulled her into the bedroom and kissed her up and down her neck. Fiddling with her boobs a bit. "I've missed being able to do this with you."
I threw her down onto the bed, and began to play around, slowly stripping mine and her clothes away. I started to kiss her, and my hands down slowly rubbing every inch, of her. "Lets try something different," She whispered into my ear, as she turned over and arched her self up. "Stick it in."
I obliged, as I slowly inserted my cock, into her pussy from behind. I leaned forward grasping her boobs and playing with them as I trusted in and out. She wriggled her pussy around my cock, I leg go of her boobs and took one hand to rub her clit, and I took the other and stuck a finger in her ass. I have no idea what compelled me to do it, but, I did. She started moaning as I plugged her ass with my finger.
"I WANT YOU TO FUCK MY ASS!" She moaned as I pulled my finger out. 'Did she just ask me to fuck her in the ass?' I thought to myself. "STICK IT IN THERE!" she yelled. I pulled mu rock hard cock out of her pussy, and guided it into her ass. Slowly pushing my cock in, her ass was a tight fit, the the condom I was using was lubed so the fight was easier. The farther I penetrated, the more she moaned. I was just glad that Jason and Paul were not here. Louder and louder her moaning was, "OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD!" I finally came to the bottom of my shaft, I slowly pulled back out and pushed back in. Alice moaned the whole time. I started to pick up speed, as I trusted in and out. I took my thumb and forefinger, and rubbed her clit. I fucked her ass harder, faster, harder, faster, harder, and faster still. I was causing the bed to bang against the wall. I Blew my Load, as I thrust inwards one last time. And I pulled out as the jet of cum that shot into the condom, started to seep around my cocks head. I fell over, on the bed beside Alice. Kissing her, as she laid beside me, I kept fingering her, pussy till I felt a gush of warm liquid gush over my hand. I laid there not moving, not speaking just looking into her eyes. With a look that said everything.
Chapter 29: Vacation
"So where are we going again?" Alice asked as I packed the Car.
"Tybee Island," I answered. "It's right outside of Savanna. I thought it would be nice to see the ocean. Not to mention, such a historic town."
"You are such a Romantic," Alice said hopping into the car. "Everything packed?"
"Let me see," I said to myself. "Map, Check, Directions, Check, luggage check, Reservation Conformation, Check, Cash, Check, Phone, Check, Snacks, Check, Alice, Check, Looks like every thing's here."
"Ha, ha, ha," Alice said very sarcastically. "Your a real comedian."
"I do what I can babe," I said as I leaned over and gave her a kiss. "It's going to be one hell of a road trip. You sure you up for it?"
"Half the fun is in getting there," She said grasping my hand. "Have your phone?"
"Um yeah," I said as I fished it off of its belt clip. "Good by Home, and Hello Road trip."
We were well on our way, 700 miles, 12 hours of driving. Just the two of us, the open road, and some snacks.
"What music did you bring?" Alice asked grabbing the CD's.
"I burned a few CD's for the Road trip," I answered. "Theres, The Beatles, Hinder, Jimi Hendrix, The Monkees, Nightwiwh, The Rolling Stones, Tokio Hotel, The Who, and ZZ Top. All sorts of stuff. Just pop one in."
Alice took the first disk from the visor, and put it in. Instantly, I'm a Believer started to play.
"I thought Love was only true in Fairy Tales, Meant for someone else but not for me," I sang as I looked over at Alice for a second. "Love was out to get me, That's the way it seemed.
Disappointment haunted all my dreams. Then I saw her face, now I'm a believer, Not a trace of doubt in my mind. I'm in love, I'm a believer! I couldn't leave her if I tried. I thought love was more or less a given thing, Seems the more I gave the less I got. What's the use in tryin'? All you get is pain. When I needed sunshine I got rain. Then I saw her face, now I'm a believer, Not a trace of doubt in my mind. I'm in love, I'm a believer! I couldn't leave her if I tried." I sang the entire song to her. It made me happy just to make her happy, and if I would do it anyway I could.
As the day went on, we passed through the states, Maryland, We stopped in Virginia for lunch, North Carolina, and then again along Highway 17, in Charleston for dinner. Then down to Savannah along the little old swampy road, and into Tybee Island. We finally made it, the little hotel. It was about 7 when we pulled in.
"Welcome to Tybee Island," The Clerk at the Desk said. "May I help you?"
"I have a reservation under the name Porter," I said handing over the Confirmation Letter.
"Okay mister Porter, I have your reservation right here, and here is your key," The Clerk said. "And I hope you two have a happy honeymoon."
"We're not married," I said. "Not yet anyways." I looked over at Alice, and said. "But someday."
"My mistake," The Desk Clerk apologized. "It's just the way you two act. I thought you were a pair of honeymooners."
"No harm," I assured him. "It's kind of nice. People thinking that we are newlyweds. It only makes our relationship seem more perfect."
"Do we really seem like that to other people?" Alice asked as we walked back to the car to grab our stuff.
"I guess so," I answered. "But it just makes what we have seem more perfect. You and me, that is." I grabbed a kart from the lobby and put our bags onto it and headed to the elevator. "Were on the 2nd floor, and I have a surprise for you as well when when get there." As I rolled the Kart down the hall, I watched the numbers, until I found it. "Here we are, No close your eyes." I opened the door and rolled the car into the room and then lead Alice in, I opened the Balcony door slowly as to not make any noise, and lead her out onto the balcony. "Open them."
"Rin," Alice began.
"Don't say anything," I said as I held her close to me. "The scenery is beautiful but it is no where near as beautiful as you. I would travel across the Sea, walk a million miles, swim to the bottom of the ocean. If it meant I could be with you."
"Oh Rin," Alice said pulling me close to her, kissing me. "That is the most romantic thing you have ever told me. I love you."
I stood there embracing her, just enjoying the moment. "I love you too, Alice. Now lets go find something to eat." We walked out of the hotel and out onto the Island, and towards a restaurant called Sting Rays. When we got back the sun had long set, and the night had now come. Tiered from our trip, we changed into our bedclothes, and went to sleep. My dreams were peaceful ones dreams of the future. Me and Alice Married with Children, I owned some Obscure business, My dreams would not let me see what it was.
We woke up before the sun had risen, and dressed. "Lets go for a walk,"I said as I grabbed my sandals. "On the beach. It would be nice to see the sun rise from there." We walked out and down to the beach, the sun just peaking out over the horizon as I laid out a blanket on the beach for us to sit on. "I saw something about a place called Sunrise, that has the best Breakfast on Tybee Island. Care to walk there after the sun rise, to check it out?" I asked siting down right beside Alice putting my arm around her, as the sun slowly moved into the morning sky lighting everything around us.
"I would love to," Alice said putting her head on my shoulder. "Anything, that lets us be together."
The sun fully Risen, we walked down the road on the little island, towards the restaurant. When we got there it was just another mom and pop operation. For breakfast we had some Omelets and hash browns. After breakfast we walked back to the Hotel, and Drove out to Savannah. "This is a beautiful city," I said as I drove to the north end of town, to the Public Parking. "Come on, lets go check out the shops along River Street." We spent most of the morning walking in and out of shops full of all sorts of odds and ends, of stuff. Farther and Farther down the street we walked more and more shops we visited. Then I saw him, A frail looking man, was making Roses out of Palm Leaves. "These are beautiful."
"Thank ya sir,"the man said in a Southern Drawl. "Interested in buying a gift for your lady friend?"
"How much?" I asked.
"5 dollars each," The man answered. I handed over a 5 dollar bill, and he handed me one of the roses.
"Alice this is for you," I said handing her the rose.
"Rin," Alice began holding the Palm Rose. "Thank you so much."
We walked along some more before we stopped for lunch. After lunch we went into a candy store, and I bought us some ice cream. We walked along and found a bench along the river and sat and ate out ice cream. After we ate out Ice cream, we looked in more shops.
"Whats this?" I said to myself as we walked through one of the shops. "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil?" I picked up the book and read he cover. It looked like an interesting read so I bought it.
The day went on, and we went back to the hotel for the evening. I took the book I bought and started to read it.
"Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiin," Alice said. As she walked out of the bathroom. "I have a surprise for you." I looked up from the book I was reading and Alice sat there wearing A red silky teddy, and she walked over to where I was sitting and sat on my lap. "Come to bed, will you? I don't want to go to bed alone" I took this as a sign. Alice stood up I dropped the book, and followed suit, ripping away my clothes, as I crawled into the bed with her. We both were grabbing at each other giggling, and playing around. Eventually we got down to it, we both were moaning as we made love. After a few minutes of I blew my load. I laid there my naked body pressed against hers, as I fell asleep.
"Last night was amazing,"I said giving Alice a kiss, my naked body still entwined, with hers. I got up and walked into the bathroom, I turned on the water and stepped into the shower. When I got out, Alice was dressed in her bathing suit. "Have I ever told you how sexy you look in that?"
"Oh Rin," Alice Giggled. "Stop it."
I changed into my board shorts and we walked down to the beach. I spread out the blanket and put up the umbrella. "Lets just sit her all day." I said as I grabbed my book. "Get a nice tan, and the like." I laid back and began to read. I became lost in the book, as I sat and we stayed there on the beach for a few hours. More people had came out, to the beach and it was quite crowded, as left at 1. When we got back to the hotel, we changed, and drove back out off the island.
"Where are we going?" Alice asked as I drove along the road.
"To look around the Town," I answered. "Theres so much. Mercer house, where Jim Williams killed Danny Lewis Hansford, and was tried 4 times for the murder. The Place where Tom Hanks sat in the movie Forest Gump. And there's so much more as well." We drove around the town and taking in the sights, as duck started to fall. I drove down to the river, and parked. "Come on," I said getting out of the car and opening the door. "I made some reservations for a ghost tour, while you were in the shower." We walked along the river, towards the building that housed the Ghost Tour Business. "We still have two hour's," I said looking at my watch. "Lets get some dinner." We walked into a bar and grill. We got some burgers and fries, and headed back out after we ate. The tour started in 45 minutes, so we walked to the Ghost tours, and I checked us in, and paid for the tour. "Well Lets go out side and wait shall we?"
We sat down on a stone bench, with the rest of the people waiting for the tour. The tour was full of people varying from children to Grandparents. Single people, to groups. The tour guide walked up and started to talk to us, about this the tour, when the trolley came by, dropping off the last Tour. They talked to us a little about the lore of the city, and then we boarded the trolley. The tour started, and stopped at Key spots, it was too much theatrics and not enough story telling for my taste. As the talked went on they talked about murders, hauntings, and other stuff. I was wishing I didn't make these reservations now, it wasn't worth it. But Alice seemed to be enjoying her self, so I really didn't care.
"Well thats not what I expected it to be," I said as we walked down River street back to the Parking lot. "There was too much Theatrics, not enough, Spooky Stories."
"Yeah," Alice said putting her arm around my waist as we walked. "But it was kinda nice. I mean, its not everyday you get to be entertained like that. It's too bad we are only staying through tomorrow night."
"Tell me about it," I said as I put my arm around her as well. "I would love to stay here a little longer. But then it cost money to go on vacation and I don't want to bleed my self dry of money." As we got to the Car, I opened the door for Alice before walking around to the driver side. "Well Lets just spend the day at the beach, tomorrow kay babe?"
"It would be nice to just lay on the beach," Alice agreed. "It was too cloudy today. We barely got any sun at all, and I don't want to look like I've been in a cave the whole time."
"Nor do I," I laughed. "But Alice, you'll always look beautiful no matter what to me."
I drove back to the Island, and to the hotel. As we got to the room we changed and went to bed. The next morning we woke up and changed into our bathing suits, and walked out to the beach. The sun was shining and not that many people were out of there.
"This is nice," I said laying down beside Alice. "I could lay here all day."
""Tell me about it," Alice sighed as she laid there.
We laid there for a few hours, the sun slowly turning our skin to a nice rich tan. After a few hours, of laying in the sun, me and Alice both were nice and tanned. The sun was turning to the west as we got up, people were starting to leave. "Come on, lets go," I said standing up offering a hand to Alice. "Lets go on in." I took Alice's hand and helped her up. I grabbed the blanket and umbrella. And we walked back to the room.
"Wow," Alice said looking in the bathroom mirror. "I really got some sun today."
"Yeah you did," I said as I leaned around from behind her and kissed her on her neck. "And I look like a rock star."
"I can't tell if your joking or being serious," Alice said as she turned around and put her arms around my neck. "Whats on the Schedule for tonight?"
"Nothing special," I answered. "Just go get a Pizza, and come back here."
"Thats alright with me," Alice said as she let go of me. "I'm going to take a shower."
"Alright," I said as I walked over to the chair and sat down. I picked up that book. I have became lost in it. Not since I read The House of the Seven Gables had I been so engrossed in a book.
"Bath's all your," Alice said walking out of the bathroom a towel wrapped around her. "You still reading that book?"
"Yeah," I said putting it down. "I'm almost done with it." I stood up and walked over to the bathroom, and walked in closing the door behind me. The heat lingering from the recently used shower felt good as I stripped down, it was not cold in there. I turned on the watter and stepped in. After sitting on the beach all day a shower was nice to get rid of all that sand in my hair. After I finished with my shower, I wiped off the mirror, and looked at myself flexing my mussels a bit. "I am a Sexy Stud," I joked to myself.
"Well if it isn't the Sexy Stud," Alice giggled as I walked out of the bathroom.
"You know it," I said as I walked over grabbing her and pulling her close to me. "Better yet why not just order room service, and have some fun." I gave Alice a kiss, tugging the towel that was wrapped around her off.
We wobbled over to the bed where we fell down onto the bed. After a few minutes of horsing around, we got down to it. Passion over took us as we started to make love. Faster and Faster, we moved about, rolling around on the bed. Going at it like a pair of wild animals. Finally, I lost control and gave in. I laid there for a few minutes, and then rolled over. Onto the other side of the bed. I looked over at Alice, and she looked back at me. We laid there just staring at each other for what seemed like ages. Before either of us sat up. I called the Room service and order our dinner, which was up at the room 30 minutes latter. After we ate we packed everything up and went to bed.
The next morning we woke with the sun and were on our way back home. "Good Bye Savannah," I said as we left the City limits along Highway 17.
Chapter 30: Investments and Family ties
"Whats with the sign Maddy?" I asked, as I walked to the register of the bookstore in town.
"Well Rin," Maddy began. "I'm 70 years young and want to retire while I'm young."
"So your just shutting down?" I asked. "Just like that?"
"Well if someone wants to buy the shop I'll sell it," Maddy answered. "I'd really hate to see this place just shut down."
"How much would you sell for?" I asked.
"Why? You interested?" Maddy asked raising an Eyebrow.
"Who knows I might be," I said smoothly. "I want to run my own business when I graduate anyways."
"Let me see," Maddy said putting a finger to her chin. I own the whole building so about 50,000$."
"50,000$," I repeated. "For the whole building?"
"Theres the shop and then there an Loft upstairs," Maddy said. "I would say you could make some money by renting it out."
"You think you could hold on that thought for a few days?" I asked. "So I can see if theres away that I could take over?"
"I'll give you a month," Maddy said shaking my hand. "I'm closing down after that."
"One month," I said. "If I don't find a way to get the money by then, by all means close down."
I walked out of the store with my purchase in hand and walked back to my car. 50,000$ How the hell Am I going to get that? I drove back home. "Hello," I said as I walked in the door. "I'm home."
"Hey Honey," Alice said from over on the couch. "Anything new?"
"Maddy's closing down, in a month," I said as I plopped down on the couch.
"What Maddy is closing down?" Alice asked.
"Yeah," I sighed. "But I made a deal with her. I have one month to get 50 grand and shell sell me the entire building. But the question stands How am I going to get 50 grand? I mean This is just perfect I graduate in a month, and I want to run my own business. And the upstairs is a loft so we would have a place all to our selves. But how am I going to get the money?"
"Why don't you ask our families to invest in it?" Alice asked. "I'm sure Mom and Dad would front some of it."
"I couldn't do that," I said holding her hand.
"Rin," Alice said looking me in the eyes. "It's your Dream to own your own business right?, And Maddy's Ran South City Books for years, it's a good Opportunity and if you don't ask them. I will."
"Alice," I choked out. "I just can't ask them."
"Well then I will," Alice said. "There coming down for Thanksgiving."
"You are a Cruel person Alice," I said as I grabbed her and kissed her. "But thats Why I love you. You push me to things I can't do."
The next two days just seemed to go by like that, Wednesday was here. I went with Alice to the Train station to pick up her parents. The train pulled in as we stood there on the Platform, as Joesph and Linda emerged from the train.
"There they are," Alice said taking my arm as we walked over. "Mommy, Daddy, It's been too long."
She gave them both a hug and I walked up. "Joesph, Linda," I said as I hugged them both. "It's nice to see you two again."
"Same here Rin," Joesph replied. "You have been keeping good care of Alice haven't you?"
"Yes sir," I answered, grabbing there bags. "You'll get to meet my parents as well. They'll be over tomorrow."
"So you two planned this huh?" Joesph asked. "Have the families meet, like this?"
"Actually," I began. "I had nothing to do with this. It was all Alice's idea."
I packed the bags into the back of my car. "Nice Suburban," Linda Said as she hopped up into the seat behind me.
"It's my baby," I said. "Well take that back. I love Alice more than I love this truck." I pulled away from the station and onto the road. And on home. "There's only 3 bedrooms and Jason and Paul use the other two so you will have to sleep in the Den on the Fold out. I hope you don't mind."
"Jason and Paul are the other two roommates?" Joesph asked.
"Yes sir," I answered. "But they've already left for home both of them so you won't be able to meet them this weekend."
The rest of the day we spent preparing for tomorrow. Me and Joesph got everything set up and Alice was in the Kitchen with her mother. The smell was a good motivation for getting this all set up. Finally the Tables were set up, and the house was cleaned up. I just hope that that this whole weekend goes along with out a hitch, considering Alice was going to ask them if I don't. I sat down on the couch and turned on the TV, and Joesph sat down on the other couch.
"Well thats done," I said. "Everything ready for tomorrow."
"Yeah," Joesph replied. "It's done, and this is a nice house."
"Thank you," I replied. "Lets see whats on TV." I flipped through the TV Channels looking for something interesting on TV, and found Fargo, on TV.
A few minutes latter Alice stepped out of the kitchen Followed by Linda. Alice sat down beside me and Linda By Joesph.
"You graduate at the end of December don't you Rin?" Linda Asked me.
"Yes ma'am," I confirmed.
"Any idea of what you are going to do?" Linda asked in return.
I looked over at Alice, she wouldn't look at me. She set me up. "Well," I began. "Theres a book store in town that Is going to go out of business, and I'm trying to figure out how to get fifty thousand dollars to buy it before the owner closes down. I've talked to my Parents and Grandparents and they have offered me 40 thousand of it."
"Well if that doesn't beat all," Joesph said. "What if we offered to invest part of it?"
"I Couldn't do that," I answered.
"What if we insisted?" Linda asked. In return.
"Then I would still refuse unless you forced me to." I answered. I knew that they would keep insisting but then, I would only take it if they really wanted me to.
"If we have to we will," Joesph said. "If it means that our daughters, future could be happier than it seems to be now. We will do what we can."
That was it, they would not take no for an answer. "Well if you insist," I said.
"Then its settled," Joesph said. "The last ten thousand will be a gift from us to you for your investment of owning a business."
I couldn't speak, the money had been found. My life was on track as I dreamed it would be. Now that dream that I had about a year ago, was starting to take form. "Thank you," I finally managed to say.
The rest of the day, we sat and talked. The bank's closed early today and wouldn't open until Friday so it was pointless to go to one to get everything settled till then. We stayed in and watched TV and then had dinner. It was almost like we were a real family. Around 10 we went to bed, Alice and I fixed the fold out, and retired to our room. The next morning I was up bright and early before anyone else. cooking breakfast.
"Morning," I said as Linda walked into the kitchen. "I hope the foldout wasn't too uncomfortable."
"It was alright,"Linda said ad I handed her a cup of coffee. "Thank you. What are you fixing? It smells good."
"My Breakfast Special," I answered. "Eggs, Bacon, and Waffles, here." I passed a plate over to Linda.
Lind picked up a fork, and began to cut up the Waffles and pour Maple Syrup on them. "This is pretty good," Linda said as she swallowed a bite.
"Thank you," I replied. "Your not the first person to tell me that. I'm going to get the other two. I'll be back in a second." I walked out of the Kitchen and into the Den. "Hey Joesph get up, breakfast is ready."
"Hugh?" Joesph yawned as he sat up.
"Breakfast," I repeated. "In the Kitchen." I walked into the bedroom, Alice was still asleep. "Alice," I said as I walked over and kissed her on neck. "Wake up."
"Ugh, what is it?" Alice asked.
"Breakfast," I answered pulling the covers away, and started to tickle her.
"Stop," Alice giggled. "I'm up I'm up."
I walked back out of the room after Alice and walked into the kitchen and fixed us both plates.
"Where did you learn to cook like this?" Joesph asked taking a sip of coffee.
"Taught myself," I answered. "A lot of trial and Error." After breakfast was finished, I cleaned the dishes and looked at the clock. "My parents should be here in a few hours, we might as well get ready. The spare bathroom is upstairs, I cleaned it yesterday before you came so it should be alright to use."
I walked off back into the room and laid down on the bed waiting as Alice went in to take a shower. I laid there for a few minutes, just thinking. My Life is perfect.
"Bath's all yours," Alice said bringing me back to reality.
"Thanks babe," I said getting up and walking into the bathroom. I started up the shower and stepped in. The hot water rushing down on me felt nice. After about 5 minutes I stepped out, and dried off and wrapped a towel around me. I got dressed and walked back in to the living room where everyone else was sitting. A few minutes latter the doorbell rang, I got up and answered the door.
"Helloooooooooo," June said as I opened the door.
"Come on in you guys," I said as I stepped back, letting them in.
"Hey," Alice said standing up walking over to help my mom with the box she was carrying.
"Hello Alice," My mom said giving Alice a kiss on the cheek.
Mom, Dad, June," I said. "This is Joesph and Linda, Alice's Parents."
"It's nice to meet you," My dad said, shaking Joesph hand. "And Rin, This is for you." My dad handed me an envelope. My guess was it had the investment my family was making into the store. I wasn't about to open it up in front of everyone right then and there. "It's the investment, theres three in there."
"Thanks dad," I said taking the envelope into the other room and putting it on my dresser. "How about we watch some football?" I said as I walked back into the Den, Alice, June, Linda, and my Mom were all in the kitchen leaving us men in the den alone. I sat down on the couch and turned on the game.
We sat there hooting and hollering like a bunch of cave men as the game rolled by, and the smell of the food cooking was driving us mad by the time the the game was over and dinner was ready.
"Dinner ready boys," Alice said coming out of the kitchen, carrying the turkey into the dining room.
We followed suit into the dining room, as we all sat there, I said grace, and then the feast began. After the meal was finished we sat there, groaning from the intake of food, talking.
"Alan," Joesph said, taking a sip of red wine. "You've raised a fine son, I feel like he's just part of my family."
"Thank you Joesph," My Dad answered. "And the same goes for you, Alice is such a wonderful woman, I think of her just as I would my own daughter."
So our families like each other thats a great thing. I couldn't be happier nor do I think could Alice. I grasped her hand as we sat there, talking. Finally as the sun started to set my family was leaving.
"It was nice to see you all," Alice said giving my mom a hug.
"Oh it was nice seeing you again too Alice," My mom said. "And it was nice meeting you, as well."
The rest of the night we just sat there and talked a bit, Alice's Parents weren't leaving till Saturday, and tomorrow we were going to all go out shopping so we went to bed, early.
